Last spring in Paris, France. A 17-year-old boy won the Long-Thibaud International Piano Competition with a unanimous decision from the judges. He was pianist Kim Se-hyun, who is studying English literature at Harvard and piano at the New England Conservatory. Now, having released his debut album 'Chopin Fauré' and holding a recital in his homeland, Kim Se-hyun is the guest for episode 327 of Curtain Call.
Now 19 years old, Kim Se-hyun has met audiences through numerous performances since his competition victory, including playing on symbolic stages in Paris. We asked him about his busy life as a pianist who balances active performance with studying English literature at Harvard.
