SBS has joined hands with the Seoul Arts Center, South Korea's premier performance venue, to expand the base of domestic arts and culture and promote its global reach.
SBS announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) yesterday afternoon (the 27th) at the SBS headquarters in Mok-dong, Seoul, with SBS President Bang Moon-sin and Seoul Arts Center President Chang Han-na in attendance, aimed at globally expanding South Korea's arts and culture.
Through this agreement, both sides agreed to broadcast Seoul Arts Center performance contents on SBS domestic and international channels, leverage broadcasting and YouTube networks to spread cultural and arts contents, and cooperate in producing new arts and culture programs.
SBS President Bang Moon-sin said, "We will convey the emotions felt only in concert halls to more people through broadcasting and digital platforms, and pave a new path to introduce South Korean artists and performance contents to the world."
Seoul Arts Center President Chang Han-na stated, "When the planning and production capabilities of the Seoul Arts Center meet SBS's content production expertise, a borderless stage will be born where more people can freely enjoy arts and culture beyond the limits of time and space."
The two sides plan to continue cooperation in various fields, starting with broadcasting Seoul Arts Center performance contents on Culture Weekly.
