A video showing a gym operator in his 20s threatening a 60s commercial building property manager with insecticide during a dispute has been released, sparking controversy.
An online post by an informant, A, stated, "I am tearfully reporting the horrific 'insecticide terror' incident that my father suffered."
A wrote, "My 68-year-old father works as a property manager for a commercial building," adding, "For nearly two years, individuals who have long overdue maintenance fees have persistently harassed my father by calling him every dawn."
A continued, "On the 20th, a group barged into the management office. They oppressively occupied the narrow office and inflicted brutal terror on my father."

The accompanying video captures a man spraying insecticide at A's father and telling him to open his mouth.

As the video spread primarily online, the person who sprayed the insecticide also stated his position directly.
Identifying himself as the man in the video, the user bowed his head through social media, stating, "I recognize that the wrong parts in the video cannot be justified for any reason, and I offer my apologies once again."
At the same time, he mentioned a maintenance fee dispute that has been ongoing for four years, explaining, "This happened while responding to provocations, such as the dismissed former management company using the dawn hours to forcibly open the building's electrical room and attempt an illegal power outage."
Netizens who saw the post criticized the actions, leaving comments such as, "How can you not pay maintenance fees for two years and even resort to violence?" and "Moral standards are collapsing."
However, some reactions also emerged saying, "Given that there are many cases of malicious maintenance fee imposition in some buildings, we should not rush to judgment based solely on a fragmentary situation," and "I hope this is resolved legally."
