Director Kore-eda Hirokazu's new film "Look Back" is set to be released domestically on October 8.
"Look Back" is a film that depicts the poignant story of two girls who drew unforgettable seasons together and became each other's worlds.
The released main poster captures memories across two different times for Fujino and Kyomoto. The poster features young Fujino (Nanase Furi) and young Kyomoto (Okada Roka), connected through the dream of manga, naturally evoking the fresh, glowing moments of two friends shining like the hot summer sun. The copy, "We became us by drawing together," previews the beautiful moments the two will write together and stimulates curiosity about the story they will unfold.
"Look Back" is a live-action film based on the bestselling one-shot manga of the same name by Tatsuki Fujimoto, the author of the "Chainsaw Man" series, drawing attention as the very first live-action adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto's work.
Director Kore-eda Hirokazu, who won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018 for the film "Shoplifters," directed, wrote, and edited the film. It has also raised anticipation by being officially invited to the competition section of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival.
"Look Back" is scheduled to hit theaters nationwide on October 8.
