Heatwave warnings remain in effect across most parts of the country.
Today (August 25), Seoul's perceived temperature climbed to 33°C (91°F), while Hapcheon (Cheongdeok) soared to 36.9°C (98°F), recording the highest heat nationwide.
Tomorrow, rain is forecasted for the greater Seoul area and western Gangwon Province.
The rain is expected to begin in the morning, and continue until late afternoon in northern Gyeonggi Province and northern Gangwon Province.
The expected precipitation is around 5 to 20 mm, which is not a large amount.
Tomorrow, other regions including Chungcheong, the southern areas, and Jeju will see clear skies accompanied by very strong solar radiation.
Tomorrow morning's low in Seoul will be 25°C (77°F), continuing the tropical night phenomenon. Tomorrow's daytime high in Busan is expected to rise to 35°C (95°F), meaning extreme heat will persist in the southern regions as well.
Rain is forecasted nationwide on Sunday, late in the week.
