A man has been apprehended by the police for drunk driving after crashing into a crash cushion.
The Busan Dongbu Police Station announced today (August 22) that it has apprehended and is investigating a man in his 60s, surnamed A, on charges of drunk driving under the Road Traffic Act.
A is suspected of crashing into a crash cushion installed between the first and second lanes while driving on the Chungjangro Overpass in Dong-gu, Busan, around 11 PM yesterday.
The vehicle flipped over due to the impact of the crash, but no injuries were reported.
Police investigations revealed that A's blood alcohol concentration at the time of the accident was at a level warranting the revocation of his driver's license.
Police are currently investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the accident.
