Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that it will use more destructive weapons in the event of a new war with the United States and other adversaries.
In an interview with the Iranian defense media outlet Defa Press, IRGC Spokesperson Hassan Mohammadi warned, "If a new war breaks out, Iran will use far more destructive weapons than in the past."
Mohammadi made the remarks while discussing the combat efficiency of Iranian missiles and overall military power following the "imposed war" it fought in the past.
"We are making constant progress across all areas of military weaponry, producing weapons that are more accurate, more destructive, and technologically advanced," Mohammadi explained.
He went on to emphasize, "Should a new war occur, our weapons will undoubtedly differ from the past," adding, "This difference will manifest in all areas, including generational shifts in warheads, strike accuracy, and missile range."
He also added, "The Islamic Republic of Iran has never stopped producing and developing weapons, and all possibilities for advancement remain open in this field."
Mohammadi also pointed out the limitations of Saudi Arabia while mentioning the conflict between Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels and Saudi Arabia.
Claiming that "the Zionist regime (Israel) has been waging war in the Gaza Strip for over two years without yet dealing a serious blow to Hamas," Mohammadi argued, "How could Saudi Arabia, which has a weaker military than Israel, defeat Ansar Allah (the Yemen Houthi rebels) and Yemeni fighters? That is impossible."
Mohammadi further warned, "Every country strives to defend its existence and assets and seeks to strengthen its capabilities," adding, "On such a battlefield, Saudi Arabia will never be able to subdue Yemen and Ansar Allah, nor will it be safe from their attacks."
He stated, "As we have seen in recent days, the more Saudi Arabia launches attacks, the harder it is met with counterattacks multiplied several times over."
He assessed, "Yemen's Ansar Allah has also continuously strengthened the capabilities it has accumulated over the years, and the Yemeni resistance forces are steadfastly continuing on the path of development."
