Group NCT DREAM, which debuted in 2016, has confirmed that all remaining members will stay, joining forces as a six-member lineup.
SM Entertainment released an official statement on August 20, announcing, "Members including Haechan, who had already completed his contract renewal, along with Renjun, Jeno, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung, have renewed their contracts based on their deep trust in one another and unwavering affection for the group, and will continue their journey with our agency." This means that all members will continue to promote together, excluding Mark, who left the group following the expiration of his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment last April.
The agency stated, "Since its debut on August 25, 2016, NCT DREAM has delivered messages of hope and positivity with refreshing energy and passion, turning countless dreams into reality over the past 10 years." They added, "We sincerely thank the members who have shared this dazzling journey to establish themselves as an 'icon of growth' and a 'representative K-pop artist,' as well as the fans who have always been a tremendous source of strength."
The agency continued, "We will continue to provide unwavering support so that NCT DREAM's infinite potential can shine even brighter, walking alongside them as a reliable partner," and asked fans, "Please look forward to and continue showing your steadfast support for NCT DREAM's diverse activities coming up in the second half of this year."
