The upcoming film "Assassin(s)" has released two main posters and a main trailer, highlighting its star-studded cast and robust production ahead of its release this Chuseok holiday.
"Assassin(s)" follows the pursuit of suspicions and the masterminds behind the assassination of the First Lady, an incident that shocked South Korea on August 15, 1974.
The first main poster captures the heavy presence of Detective Chul-goo (Yoo Hae-jin), who chases the mastermind behind the case; Jae-hwan (Park Hae-il), head of a newspaper's social affairs desk; and rookie reporter Young-il (Lee Min-ho) in a single frame. Their resolute gazes directed straight ahead reveal a steadfast determination to approach the truth as they edge closer to the reality of the case, raising anticipation for how these individuals positioned differently will track down the truth.
The second main poster immediately draws attention with the copy, "August 15, 1974, First Lady Assassination Incident, Who is the Mastermind Behind It?", further heightening curiosity about the mysteries hidden beneath the surface of an event everyone believed they knew. In addition, the tense expressions of Chul-goo, Jae-hwan, and Young-il convey the intense suspense of the film.
The concurrently released main trailer begins with the back view of an assassin loading a gun, instantly heightening immersion. It then vividly portrays the chaos of the time through the urgent moments of the sniper incident unfolding, Jae-hwan witnessing it live, Young-il capturing the scene with his camera, and Chul-goo overwhelmed by shock.
Following this, a diverse array of actors who will richly flesh out the story—including Bae Sung-woo, Uhm Ji-won, Park Ji-hwan, Park Hoon, Ryu Hye-young, Choi Yu-ri, Jang Ryul, Ryu Kyung-soo, Kim Dae-myung, Shim Eun-kyung, Park Hae-joon, Park Sung-hoon, Oh Jung-se, Shin Hyun-bin, and Jung Woo-sung—appear sequentially, completing a glamorous cast lineup. Furthermore, the consecutive sequences of Chul-goo desperately chasing the truth, Jae-hwan persistently digging into the hidden mastermind, and Young-il boldly diving into the scene escalate expectations for the overwhelming scale and breath-taking thrill the film will deliver.
