YG Entertainment announced that the group BIGBANG will release their new digital single "BiiiG" at 6 p.m. today (the 19th), which marks their 20th debut anniversary.
"BiiiG" is a high-energy hip-hop track featuring grandiose beats and an addictive hook.
Member G-Dragon participated in writing and composing the song, deeply infusing it with the group's signature musical style.
YG stated, "It is a song that delivers BIGBANG's unique synergy as G-Dragon's sharp rap, Taeyang's groovy vocals, and Daesung's powerful voice blend together."
This marks BIGBANG's first new group release in 4 years and 4 months, following "Still Life" released in April 2022.
The members directly led the entire new song project, ranging from music production to visual direction and marketing planning.
To celebrate their 20th debut anniversary, BIGBANG is holding various events around the Jamsil area in Seoul, including a media exhibition, photo zones, and merchandise (MD) shops.
BIGBANG's 20th-anniversary world tour will kick off at the Goyang Stadium main stadium from August 21 to 23.
Following the kickoff, they will meet global fans through a total of 33 shows across large-scale concert venues in 19 cities worldwide, including North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia.
Debuting in August 2006, BIGBANG released numerous hit songs such as "Lies," "Last Farewell," "Day by Day," and "Fantastic Baby," establishing themselves as a representative second-generation K-pop group.
On the same day, YG posted a commemorative video on its official social media channels looking back at BIGBANG's journey since their 2006 debut song "La La La."
