▲ Schedule and venues for the national football team's friendly matches in September and October
The venues have been finalized for the national football team's friendly matches, which will be played under an interim manager system during the FIFA A-match windows in September and October.
The Korea Football Association announced that the four friendly matches of the national football team invited by Hana Bank, to be held domestically in September and October, will take place sequentially in Suwon, Seoul, Ulsan, and Yongin.
First, the national team will face Ecuador at Suwon World Cup Stadium on September 24, the day before Chuseok.
This will be the first match played by the South Korean national team since the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.
Next, the team will play against Uruguay at Seoul World Cup Stadium on September 28.
Following that, in October, they will take on Venezuela at Ulsan Munsu Football Stadium on the 2nd, and clash with Uzbekistan at Yongin Mireu Stadium on the 6th.
Kickoff for all four matches is at 8:00 PM.
South Korea, whose head coach Hong Myung-bo stepped down after the North and Central American World Cup, will play these four friendly matches under an interim coaching system.
This will be the first time in domestic territory for a national team match since the friendly against Ghana held at Seoul World Cup Stadium in November of last year.
In Suwon, a national team match will be hosted for the first time since the North and Central American World Cup qualifier against Jordan in March of last year.
In Yongin, a national team match will take place for the first time in about a year, following the 2025 EAFF E-1 Championship held there last year.
In Ulsan, an A-match will be held for the first time in about three years and six months, following the match against Colombia in March 2023.
Detailed information, including ticket reservation schedules for each match, will be announced later.
