Jang Dong-hyeok: "President Lee Jae-myung Is Destroying the South Korea-U.S. Alliance... Every Second Is Dangerous"

People Power Party Leader Jang Dong-hyeok launched a scathing attack on President Lee Jae-myung, accusing him of "tearing down the South Korea-U.S. alliance."

Writing on his social media today, Leader Jang stated, "President Lee Jae-myung is destroying the South Korea-U.S. alliance," and added, "He is a president under whom every single second is fraught with danger."

He continued, "When the war in Iran broke out, I already predicted that 'the Korean Peninsula would be next,'" pointing out, "I have warned multiple times through negotiating group speeches and other occasions that disaster could strike unless we strengthen the South Korea-U.S. alliance."

Jang also claimed, "U.S. President Trump stated that 'North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has responded to dialogue proposals,'" asserting that "this reveals the U.S. is in direct contact with North Korea."

He went on to criticize, "While shouting 'independence' at every turn, we are now unable to even participate in discussions regarding Korean Peninsula issues."

Jang warned, "The North Korean regime will become even more entrenched while the South Korea-U.S. alliance disintegrates," adding, "Given President Trump's current stance, he might even push forward with the withdrawal of U.S. Forces Korea."

He continued, "This administration has only repeated that 'there is no problem with the South Korea-U.S. alliance,'" claiming that "they have been deceiving the public with blatant lies."
