Park golf has gained massive popularity recently, but it is not easy to enjoy during scorching heatwaves like today. Yongin City is actively expanding its infrastructure, including the creation of screen park golf courses.

This is the screen park golf course at the Yongin Indoor Gymnasium, which opened early last month.
All four prepared hitting bays are filled with citizens enjoying screen park golf.
Visitors say that screen park golf is a great exercise in many ways during the current heatwave.

The screen park golf course at the Giheung National Sports Center, which opened last year, is also highly popular.
It sees a high number of visitors, especially during the winter and summer seasons when outdoor activities are difficult.
[Cho Nam-sik / Screen park golf visitor: It has the advantage of being able to play in a cool environment, and since it is still exercise, we can enjoy it for at least about two hours, which I think is quite wonderful.]
[Park Jong-han / Giheung National Sports Center staff: If people do not make a reservation, they almost always end up having to turn back (home) or wait. That usually happens between 10 AM and 2 PM.]
Yongin City operates a total of 11 hitting bays across three screen park golf locations, the most among local governments in Gyeonggi Province.
Yongin City also plans to gradually increase its outdoor park golf courses, which currently stand at only three, to eight locations.

It is estimated that there are currently at least over 100 local government-run park golf courses nationwide.
