BTS members V and Jung Kook, who are currently carrying out the North American leg of their world tour "ARIRANG," issued a light warning to fans who approached them at a hotel gym.
After finishing their concert in Baltimore, United States, on the 11th (local time), V and Jung Kook communicated with fans via Weverse Live and shared an anecdote about running into fans at the hotel gym.
The two mentioned that they visited the gym in the hotel where they were staying at around 2 a.m. and encountered about 20 fans. Jung Kook remarked, "I've never seen people working out at dawn during a tour," guessing that the people came to see them.
V said, "If it helps with dieting or bulking up, it's a good thing," but drew a line by stating that while people are welcome to come to the gym to work out regardless of the number of people, they should not interfere with one another.
Jung Kook asked, "Instead of just staring, please focus on your own posture and workout, whether that means lifting dumbbells or looking at exercise equipment," while protesting, "Isn't this our private life?" V also made a lighthearted warning joke, saying, "A fan wearing green clothes is captured in the video I filmed the day before," adding that he could release the footage.
It was reported that the fan in the green outfit actually approached V after Jung Kook left the gym.
During the live broadcast that day, V confessed along with Jung Kook that they are receiving medical treatment. V revealed his hearing impairment for the first time, saying, "I've never told ARMYs before, but my hearing hasn't been good for two and a half years." He shared that if his left hearing is at 100, his right hearing is only at around 30, and he is steadily taking medication and receiving treatment.
Jung Kook also opened up about his struggles on stage. He revealed that he is on the verge of getting a stress fracture in his shins, confessing that even during that day's performance, he wanted to jump with all his might, but had to hold back from jumping at times due to the pain. Despite having micro-damage to his bones and heavy inflammation, he expressed his determination to take the best possible care of his body and successfully finish the remaining tour.
BTS is scheduled to continue their performances at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, United States, on August 15 and 16, and at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada, on August 22 and 23.
