Scorching heat will continue today, primarily centered around western regions, while the east coast will remain cloudy with rain.
The rain is expected to last for about three days.
Looking at the expected precipitation through tomorrow, the east coast will receive a heavy downpour of 20 to up to 60 mm, while South Gyeongsang Province, which has suffered from severe drought this summer, is also expected to receive a refreshing 10 to 40 mm of rain tomorrow.
Tropical nights will subside overnight.
Low temperatures will hover around 20°C (68°F), making it slightly cooler than last night.
Today's daytime highs are forecast at 32°C (90°F) in Seoul and 33°C (91°F) in Jeonju, with scorching heat persisting mainly in western areas.
In the latter half of the week, hot and humid air flowing into the lower atmosphere is likely to bring scattered showers to various inland areas, and rain is forecasted for Jeju Island this weekend.
