Explosive-Laden Drone Found at Airport... A "New Threat"

On the night of August 4, Leipzig/Halle Airport in Germany was thrown into chaos.

It was due to an urgent report from an employee stating, "There is a strange object near the runway."

As it turned out, the "unidentified object" was revealed to be a drone carrying explosives.

Coincidentally around that time, a DHL cargo plane that was returning to the area

was also involved in an incident where its nose was partially damaged after colliding with another "unidentified object."

Immediately after the incident, the Ukrainian ambassador to Germany

pointed the finger at Russia, asking, "Who else would do something like this besides Russia?"

Over the past few years in Europe, there have been nearly 150 incidents where drones flew near airports, ports, and energy facilities before being chased off or disappearing.
