Prosecutor Kang Baek-shin of the Daegu High Prosecutors' Office, who led the second investigative team for the Daejangdong development corruption case, has expressed his intention to resign, according to SBS reporting.
It is reported that Prosecutor Kang submitted his resignation to the Daegu High Prosecutors' Office this morning (August 10).
Prosecutor Kang is widely regarded within the prosecution as a prominent "special investigation" expert.
Notably, while serving as the head of the Anti-Corruption Investigation Division 3 in 2023 under then-Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office Chief Song Kyung-ho, he investigated suspicions surrounding the Daejangdong development corruption alongside Uhm Hee-jun, then-head of the Anti-Corruption Investigation Division 1.
