Yu Jae-seok swept three penalties.
On the August 9 episode of SBS's Running Man, Hong Jin-ho and JiU appeared as guests.
On this day, the Running Man members played a Jongno Monopoly race alongside the guests. After completing all the missions, they rolled the dice for their final escape.
Yu Jae-seok's team could escape with a single roll, while Kim Jong-kook's team could not escape even if a 6 came out. If Yu Jae-seok's team repeatedly rolled low numbers, Kim Jong-kook's team still had hope.
Consequently, Kim Jong-kook's team prayed for Yu Jae-seok's team to roll a 2 or lower. Meanwhile, Yu Jae-seok's team rolled the dice with composure, knowing that anything 3 or higher would yield a satisfying result.
Rolling a 3 would win them the tablet PC they had been talking about so much, and a 5 or higher would mean a successful escape. However, the number Yu Jae-seok rolled happened to be a 2.
A 2 meant drawing a Golden Key. With dimensional shift on the line via the Golden Key, Yu Jae-seok's team entered a state of extreme tension. Yang Sechan drew the Golden Key as their representative. Before the result was even revealed, Yang Sechan and Hong Jin-ho, who checked the slip first, were shocked. What Yang Sechan drew was the worst-case scenario: a dimensional shift.
Yu Jae-seok's team was left in despair as their positions swapped with Kim Jong-kook's team right before escape. Team members vented their frustration, saying, "Of all things, you had to pick that."
With the positions swapped, Kim Jong-kook's team had to draw a Golden Key. The team members suggested that Song Jihyo should draw it instead of Jee Seokjin, who was known for having bad luck. However, Jee Seokjin expressed disappointment as he wanted to play a decisive role, leading him to step up to draw the Golden Key.
Miraculously, he drew double dice. This meant that as long as they didn't roll a 1 and a 1 afterward, they would succeed in escaping. With positive energy, Kim Jong-kook's team rolled the dice, and the result was a 1 and a 3, narrowly securing their escape.
Kim Jong-kook's team rejoiced over their victory, achieved after pushing through three desert island exiles. On the other hand, Yu Jae-seok's team expressed disappointment at missing the win right before their eyes. However, they found consolation upon seeing Kim Jong-kook's team all-pass the prize spaces and end up with zero final prizes, bringing laughter.
The losing team, Yu Jae-seok's team, drew Running Balls to choose who would carry out the penalties. For the three penalties—water slap, drinking bitter arrowroot tea, and water bucket—Yang Sechan and Yu Jae-seok, Hong Jin-ho and Yu Jae-seok, and Yang Sechan and Yu Jae-seok were chosen respectively. Notably, Yu Jae-seok earned the dishonor of sweeping all three penalties, drawing laughter.
