South Korea's track and field promising talent Park Si-hoon has claimed the silver medal in the shot put at the World Athletics U20 Championships.
This marks the first time a South Korean shot putter has won a medal at this competition.
Park showed his strength right from his first attempt.
He hurled the 6kg shot put 19.87 meters to shoot straight to first place.
He added even more explosive power on his third attempt.

He maintained his lead with a throw of 20.31 meters, which was 34 centimeters short of his personal best.
Although he missed out on the gold medal by a razor-thin margin of just 4 centimeters after a Brazilian athlete recorded 20.35 meters in the fifth attempt, Park secured the silver medal and wrote a new page in history.
Park is the first South Korean shot putter to reach the podium at this event, and it is also the first time a South Korean has medaled in any track and field event at the championships in 12 years, following high jumper Woo Sang-hyeok.
