A fire broke out at the Ulju-gun Recycling Sorting Facility located in Onsan-eup, Ulju-gun, Ulsan, at around 6:50 p.m. today (the 6th).
Fire authorities mobilized about 30 pieces of equipment and around 70 personnel, bringing the major flames under control in 36 minutes.
There were no casualties reported from the fire.
The Ulju-gun Recycling Sorting Facility is a public facility operated by the Ulju-gun Office to process recyclable waste generated from detached houses and commercial buildings within the county.
Fire authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire and the scale of the damage once the fire is completely extinguished.
