Amid the ongoing heatwave, the Korea Professional Football League has pushed back the kickoff times for all matches of K League 1 Round 22 (5 matches) and K League 2 Round 21 (8 matches) from 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
The K League announced today (August 5) that "the kickoff times were adjusted to ensure the safety of players, spectators, and field personnel in consideration of the severe heatwave conditions."
Accordingly, the five matches of K League 1 Round 22, including Anyang versus Daejeon (Anyang Stadium), Bucheon versus Gwangju (Bucheon Stadium), Gimcheon versus Seoul (Gimcheon Stadium), Jeonbuk versus Jeju (Jeonju World Cup Stadium), and Pohang versus Ulsan (Pohang Steel Yard), will all kick off at 8:00 PM on August 8.
In addition, the eight matches of K League 2 Round 21—Chungnam Asan versus Ansan (Yi Sun-sin Stadium), Gimpo versus Chungbuk Cheongju (Gimpo Solter Football Field), Gyeongnam versus Daegu (Changwon Football Center), Hwasong versus E-Land (Hwasong Stadium), Suwon versus Gimhae (Suwon World Cup Stadium), and Yongin versus Busan (Yongin Mireu Stadium) on August 7, along with Paju versus Suwon FC (Paju Stadium) and Seongnam versus Cheonan (Tancheon Stadium) on August 8—will also kick off at 8:00 PM.
