Lee Seong-hoon, President of Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH), has taken office as the 22nd President of the Korea Modern Pentathlon Federation.
The Korea Modern Pentathlon Federation held the inauguration ceremony for President Lee on the 5th at Lotte World Tower in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
The federation has been sponsored by LH since 1985, and the sitting LH president has traditionally served as the head of the federation.
President Lee entered public service through the state technical examination in 1996 and served in various positions at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. He worked as the Presidential Secretary for Land, Infrastructure and Transport starting last year before being appointed as LH President last month, and was recently elected as the federation president through an election.
During the inauguration ceremony, President Lee pledged active support for the national team competing in the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games and urged thorough on-site safety management.
The national team, led by Manager Kim Sung-jin, announced their departure for the Asian Games and vowed to put on a strong performance.
Attendees at the inauguration ceremony included Lee Sang-hyun, President of the Korea Cycling Federation and head of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games delegation; Lee Hyuk-ryeol, President of the Korea Biathlon Union and Chairman of the 2018 PyeongChang Memorial Foundation; and Jung Chang-hoon, President of the Korea Swimming Federation.
