The volume of nationwide apartment presales for this month is estimated to have increased by over 50% compared to the same month last year.
According to Zigbang today (the 3rd), the scheduled apartment presale volume for August is tallied at 28,015 units across 33 complexes.
This is an increase of 10,256 units (58%) compared to the same month last year.
General presales (18,861 units) are projected to increase by 43% compared to last year.
Metropolitan area volumes account for about 80% of the total, reaching 22,492 units.
Gyeonggi Province has the highest volume with 10,626 units across 14 complexes (7,972 units for general presale), followed by Seoul with 6,770 units across 7 complexes (2,530 units for general presale), and Incheon with 5,096 units across 3 complexes (3,679 units for general presale).
In Seoul, Banpo DH Classet in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu (5,002 units) accounts for the vast majority of the total volume.
In non-metropolitan areas, 5,523 units across 9 complexes will be supplied in 6 regions, including South Gyeongsang Province and South Chungcheong Province.
Meanwhile, the July presale market saw only 61% (18,227 units) of the scheduled 29,671 units actually lead to presales, lower than the performance recorded in June (83%).
This is interpreted as a result of July and typically August being considered off-seasons for presales due to the vacation period, along with some complexes adjusting their presale schedules considering market conditions and business environments.
