The scorching heat continues day after day. Extreme heat will continue today, especially around the South Gyeongsang region, and the heat will intensify further around western regions next week.

Looking at the current heat wave advisory status, heavy heat wave warnings have been issued for many parts of South Gyeongsang Province.
In Yangsan, South Gyeongsang Province, which has been experiencing unprecedented heat day after day, daytime temperatures are expected to soar up to 41°C (106°F) today, staying above 40°C (104°F) for the fifth consecutive day.
Looking at detailed daytime temperatures, Busan will rise to 39°C (102°F) and Gwangju to 38°C (100°F).
Seoul and Chuncheon will see temperatures of 35°C (95°F).
The nighttime heat is also relentless.
With tropical night advisories issued for most parts of the country, current temperatures in Gangneung are hovering above 30°C (86°F), with super-tropical nights expected for the second consecutive day. Seoul is at 27.6°C (82°F) and Jeju at 27.3°C (81°F), with most regions staying above 25°C (77°F).
Skies nationwide will be clear today, making ultraviolet rays extremely strong.
As ozone concentrations are also expected to run high, it is advisable to refrain from outdoor activities during the middle of the day.
Starting tomorrow, wind directions will gradually shift to easterly winds, causing the daytime temperature in Seoul to soar up to the 37°C (99°F) mark, and the heat will intensify further in western regions.
With the heat wave prolonged without any rain in sight for the time being, you will need to take extra care of your health.
