On the evening of Sunday, the 26th local time, a sudden shooting broke out at a large-scale street food festival held near the Space Needle, a symbol of Seattle, USA.
[Witness: At first, I thought it was the sound of fireworks, so I didn't know it was dangerous. It wasn't until a second burst of gunfire that people started running for their lives.]
So far, 3 people have died and 5 others have been injured in the incident.
Among the injured transported to the hospital was a 2-year-old child.
[Witness: The child was lying on the ground and then transferred to a stretcher. From a distance, it looked like they were unconscious. Their arm was limp.]
Police believe that innocent citizens were hit by bullets while two gunmen were shooting at each other.
Police deployed at the scene immediately responded and arrested one suspect, while another suspect fled and is currently being pursued.
The motive behind the shootout has not yet been confirmed.
