As the iceberg melted or a portion broke off, its center of gravity shifted, causing the massive iceberg to capsize instantly. The displaced seawater generated strong waves in the process.
Fortunately, no injuries or major property damage were reported from this phenomenon. However, local authorities warned that the area around the iceberg could become dangerous at any time, urging people to maintain a safe distance and exercise extreme caution regarding vessel operations and coastal activities.
