President Lee Jae-myung, who is currently on a tour of the United States and South America, has declared a blueprint in San Francisco, the epicenter of AI innovation, stating, "We will leap forward as an irreplaceable core nation in the AI ecosystem." A "Gganbu meeting" with AI company CEOs, including NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang and Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong, was also reenacted.

Upon President Lee Jae-myung's arrival in San Francisco, U.S. figures presented him with a signed baseball from Lee Jung-hoo, who plays for the Major League Baseball team San Francisco Giants.
In San Francisco, home to Silicon Valley—the center of the artificial intelligence and IT industries—President Lee held successive meetings with global corporate CEOs such as NVIDIA's Jensen Huang and OpenAI's Sam Altman.

At the subsequent AI summit—attended by business leaders including Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, and Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung—the so-called "San Francisco AI Declaration" was announced, stating that South Korea will leap forward as a core nation in the global AI ecosystem.

The so-called "Gganbu meeting," where Jensen Huang and our business leaders previously enjoyed chimaek (chicken and beer) together in Seoul, was reenacted on a San Francisco beach.

During the private dinner, President Lee reportedly remarked that thanks to business leaders, South Korea's economic growth rate has recorded its best performance in decades, while global CEOs reportedly suggested that South Korea needs to build its own unique AI model.
Tomorrow (July 26), President Lee will meet with Silicon Valley venture capitalists and business leaders to discuss ways to foster South Korea-U.S. venture and startup cooperation.
