An integrated information portal will be established to provide materials and services related to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) in one place.
The Ministry of Unification announced on July 24 that it will launch the DMZ Portal (www.dmz.go.kr) on July 27, bringing together DMZ-related articles, press releases, research papers, academic data, and tour and event information that were previously scattered across various ministry and agency websites, allowing users to find them with a single search.
Artificial intelligence (AI)-based services have also been introduced to improve search convenience and accessibility for overseas users.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Unification will host the "Our DMZ" event from July 27 to 28 in the lobby of the Government Complex Seoul to promote the peaceful use of the DMZ on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the signing of the Armistice Agreement.
On the first day, July 27, the Minister of Unification and heads of local governments in border regions will gather at the event venue to celebrate the official launch of the DMZ Portal services.
