According to the city of Busan, foreign tourists who visited Busan in the first quarter of this year actually numbered approximately 1.024 million.
This marks the earliest point in time to surpass 1 million visitors since 2014, when official statistics began to be released.
It is also an all-time record, beating last year's pace by a full month.
