President Lee Jae-myung has received credentials from newly appointed ambassadors to South Korea representing eight countries, including Brazil and Kuwait.
A credentials presentation ceremony is an official event where a newly appointed ambassador delivers the letter of credence from their home country's head of state to the head of state of the host country.
Held at the Blue House today (the 22nd), the ceremony was attended by Brazilian Ambassador Fernando Meirelles Pimentel, Salvadoran Ambassador Federico Guerrero Avendaño, Colombian Ambassador Yovanny Velásquez Quintero, Lao Ambassador Kaimany Olaboun, Kazakhstani Ambassador Asset Issenaliyev, Tanzanian Ambassador Noel Emmanuel Kaganda, Kuwaiti Ambassador Azzam Al-Asfour, and Nigerian Ambassador Laura Radi Dadut.
President Lee welcomed each of the ambassadors, expressed his gratitude, and posed for commemorative photos with them.
This marks the fourth time a credentials presentation ceremony has been held since the inauguration of the Lee Jae-myung administration.
