Monsoon rain continues to fall across the country today, July 21.

Behind me is the current view of Daechi Station Intersection in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
While the rain has temporarily eased in Seoul, the metropolitan area saw very heavy downpours of 50mm per hour overnight, leaving puddles in various places.
Looking at the current radar imagery, a strong band of precipitation is moving northeast, bringing around 20mm of rain per hour, mainly to the central and northern regions.
As a result, heavy rain warnings have been issued.
In Seoul and other parts of the metropolitan area, rain is expected to begin again within the next one to two hours.
The expected rainfall for today is 30 to 100mm in Seoul, the metropolitan area, central and northern Gangwon, and the northern west coast of South Chungcheong, while other regions are expected to see between 5 and 60mm.
Please be cautious as heavy rain is expected to fall, particularly in the central regions, until this afternoon.
Meanwhile, heatwave and tropical night warnings have been expanded and strengthened, mainly in the southern regions.
With the rain frequently easing in the south today, it will be hot, with temperatures in Pohang reaching 37°C (99°F) and Jeju 34°C (93°F).
Current temperatures are starting at around 25°C (77°F) in most regions.
During the day, Daegu will reach 34°C (93°F), and Seoul will see 28°C (82°F).
The rain is expected to continue for a long period until the end of the week, with heavy rain forecast, mainly in the central regions, through the day after tomorrow.
