Iranian President Says Country Is in 'Full-Scale War' With U.S.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has characterized the current situation, including armed clashes with the United States, as a "full-scale war," state-run Press TV and other outlets reported on July 20 (local time).

During his attendance at a high-level judicial meeting in Tehran on that day, President Pezeshkian discussed the "hybrid war" being waged by enemies against the Islamic Republic, stating, "The reality is that Iran is currently engaged in a full-scale war." He added, "The current war is not being fought with missiles alone."

He continued, "The enemies have reached the conclusion that they cannot force the Iranian people to surrender through military strikes alone."

President Pezeshkian emphasized, "We will fight until the end to defend the nation's interests, and there is not a shred of doubt on this path," adding, "What is most urgently needed in this situation is unity, cohesion, and solidarity."
