Actor Jung Hoyeon has become the first Korean actor to grace the stage at the World Cup final, a global festival.
On July 19 (local time), she appeared at the pre-match ceremony held just before the 2026 FIFA World Cup North America final between Spain and Argentina at the New York New Jersey Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA.
As a global ambassador for Louis Vuitton, Jung participated in the Trophy Trunk ceremony alongside world-renowned tennis player Carlos Alcaraz before the start of the final match. Jung is the first Korean actor to participate in an official event on the World Cup final stage.
The Trophy Trunk ceremony, in which Jung took part, is one of the most iconic moments of the World Cup final. It is an event where the championship trophy enters the pitch inside an official Trophy Trunk crafted by Louis Vuitton before being revealed to the stadium.
Jung, who is currently meeting audiences in Korea through the film "HOPE," once again solidified her global influence by standing on the iconic stage of the world's largest sporting event.
