Multiple U.S. service members have been injured following Iranian airstrikes on a military base in Jordan, CBS News reported.
According to multiple U.S. government officials, several U.S. military personnel were wounded after facilities housing American troops were struck during Iran's recent attacks on at least two military bases in Jordan.
While both the U.S. and Jordanian governments confirmed that there were no fatalities, they did not disclose the conditions of the injured troops.
The U.S. military utilizes military bases in Jordan as key hubs for its operations in the Middle East.
In retaliation for the recent resumption of U.S. airstrikes, Iran has intensified drone and missile attacks against U.S. allies in the Middle East, including Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran claimed to have also attacked a U.S. military base in Syria, but it was reported that U.S. forces had already withdrawn from that base earlier this year.
Mohsen Rezaei, a military advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader, warned in an interview with state television today that Iran would launch a full-scale offensive if U.S. attacks continue.
