A person in their 60s has been referred to the prosecution under arrest for abandoning dozens of dogs in a home covered in trash. A total of 52 dogs were rescued from five locations, including the owner's apartment and house.

Loud barking and a foul odor emanate from near the front door.
Complaints about the suspected neglect of the dogs had been constant.
The complaints poured in starting this past February, and five months later, the tightly shut doors were finally opened.
Thirteen dogs were found amidst piles of trash.
The situation was the same at another apartment managed by the same owner.
The area up to the front door was filled with waste, and dogs were scattered throughout the living space.
In total, 52 dogs were rescued in one day from five locations, including apartments and detached houses across the Chuncheon area.
These are the animals that were rescued.
At the time of discovery, their condition was very poor, suffering from heartworm, ticks, and skin diseases.
It was confirmed that they had been left unattended inside the apartments for a significant period.
The owner is a woman in her 60s, identified as A.
As complaints from neighbors regarding the stench and noise persisted, the city of Chuncheon filed a complaint against the owner with the police for violating the Animal Protection Act.
The police launched an investigation, obtained a warrant to take A into custody, and rescued the dogs from her residence.
The police have referred A to the prosecution under arrest for violating the Animal Protection Act.
While all the abandoned dogs have been rescued, the piles of trash, which are one of the sources of the stench, remain as they cannot be removed without A's consent.
