Following allegations that the BTS song 'Swim' plagiarized tracks by American songwriters, the agency has announced it will take strong legal action, asserting that the song is an independent creation.
Billboard recently reported that three American songwriters have filed a lawsuit, claiming that BTS's 'Swim' is significantly similar to their own demo track.
They have filed the lawsuit against the composers of 'Swim' and Big Hit Music, the agency representing BTS, but it is reported that member RM, who participated in the composition, was not included in the suit.
The three individuals claim that they sent their demo track to various industry contacts starting in March of last year and that they also shared the demo with some of the composers of 'Swim'.
In response, Big Hit Music issued a statement calling these claims one-sided.
The agency emphasized that 'Swim' is an independent creation and added that it plans to respond firmly through legal proceedings.
