So Ji-sub has finally reunited with Seo Soo-min.
On the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Chief Kim,' which aired on July 11, Chief Kim was shown arriving at the headquarters of the Special Investigation Bureau to find Min-ji.
On this day, Joo Gang-chan interrogated Min-ji, asking why she was there. Min-ji made up an excuse, saying she woke up in a cold storage warehouse and could not remember why she was there.
Joo Gang-chan then asked what she saw in the cold storage and if she had met anyone. Min-ji replied, "I saw a man who looked like a thug whom I had never seen before." When asked if they had talked, she said, "No, he suddenly came at me with a knife, so I ran away. He shouted something from behind, but I couldn't hear it because of the sound of the rain."
Min-ji then asked, "Could you please lend me your phone? I want to ask my dad to come pick me up." Joo Gang-chan refused, saying that was not possible. When Min-ji asked why, Joo Gang-chan replied, "Because our Hye-ri tried to kill you. Then what should I, as a father, do?" leaving Min-ji trembling in fear.
Min-ji claimed she knew nothing and could not remember anything. However, Joo Gang-chan saw right through her, saying, "Perhaps it is because you are still a student, but you are clumsy at hiding your emotions, and you are also clumsy at lying about having lost your memory."
Joo Gang-chan added, "I knew everything. Ever since you pretended to be asleep as soon as you got in the car." He then chillingly remarked, "I cherish and love our Hye-ri very much, so I want to cover up any mistakes she makes. And honestly, if you look at it, it is not really a big mistake, is it?"
Joo Gang-chan continued, "So, I will settle it like this. A case where some thug kidnapped a high school girl named Kim Min-ji and went missing together. Since the thug is missing, then only the student Kim Min-ji needs to disappear from the world." His words plunged Min-ji into terror.
Min-ji struggled, saying she did not want that. Just then, the doorbell rang. Agents from the Special Investigation Bureau had arrived to find Min-ji. Consequently, Joo Gang-chan locked Min-ji in the basement.
'Ddang-gang-aji' (a nickname for a character) and Joo Gang-chan stood their ground against each other, and Ddang-gang-aji left Joo Gang-chan's villa with his subordinates.
A short while later, Jung Sang-ah and Mr. Im appeared before Ddang-gang-aji with Min-ji. Ddang-gang-aji had previously instructed them to extract Min-ji. Ddang-gang-aji then took Min-ji and left.
Not knowing where she was being taken, Min-ji trembled with fear and said, "Excuse me, thank you. But who are you? Where are you taking me right now? Please let me contact my dad. If you don't, I will get off." The agent replied, "Calm down, student Min-ji. We are going to a safe place," and put Min-ji to sleep.
Upon learning that Min-ji and the Special Investigation Bureau agents were on the move, Chief Kim contacted them via radio. Chief Kim said, "Min-ji, can you hear Daddy's voice? It is okay, I will come to get you soon."
Chief Kim also warned Ddang-gang-aji, "If you touch even a single hair on my daughter's head, you will all die," adding, "I said I would come in on my own feet once I found my daughter. Finding my daughter is the priority. I will send you a gift in advance, so wait."
Min-ji was moved to the Special Investigation Bureau headquarters. Chief Kim tracked Min-ji with his friends and attempted to rescue her by sending his friends ahead instead of himself.
However, due to the interference of the Special Investigation Bureau, Min-ji, Seong Han-soo, and Park Jin-cheol could not leave the headquarters. At that moment, the Vice Minister of National Security ordered everyone to lower the guns they were aiming at them. The Vice Minister appeared looking terrified, and the reason for his fear was revealed.
Chief Kim was strangling the Vice Minister with a string as thin as a fishing line. Seeing this, Chief Kim said to Min-ji, "Min-ji, Daddy is here, let's go home now," raising curiosity about whether they would be able to escape safely with Min-ji.
