Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has criticized the blatant and harsh remarks made by U.S. President Donald Trump against his country, labeling them as vulgar provocations.
On July 8 (local time), Minister Araghchi wrote on X, "We will respond to vulgar provocations with action, not words."
He asserted, "Insulting the civilized and brave people of Iran does not diminish Iran's greatness," adding, "Iranians are widely known for their high civilization, culture, and firm moral values."
He further added, "We do not respond to vulgar language with equal vulgarity; we only show our greatness through fearless, bold actions and immense courage."
Earlier, while meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on the sidelines of the NATO summit held in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, President Trump stated, "I don't want to deal with them," suggesting that the memorandum of understanding (MOU) on ending the war appeared to be over.
In particular, President Trump directed harsh criticism toward Iran, calling them "scum" and "terrible people," and adding, "If they had nuclear weapons, they would use them."
