A fire broke out in a residential area in Daejeon, leaving three people injured.
The fire started at approximately 11:20 p.m. last night (July 7) at a four-story villa building in Gayang-dong, Dong-gu, Daejeon.
Fire authorities deployed about 20 pieces of equipment and 40 personnel, extinguishing the blaze in about an hour.
As a result of the fire, three residents, including a woman in her 40s, were treated at a hospital for smoke inhalation.
Following the outbreak, the city of Daejeon sent out an emergency disaster text message, advising, "Vehicles in the vicinity should detour, and residents should take precautions for their safety."
Fire authorities plan to investigate the exact cause of the fire by questioning witnesses and others.
