Choi Min-seok, a second-year professional who has established himself as a reliable pillar of the Doosan starting rotation this year, delivered another brilliant performance in his final start of the first half.
With pinpoint control, he peppered the corners of the strike zone with his two-seam fastballs, cutters, and sweepers, pitching six solid innings while allowing only five hits and one run with six strikeouts.
Supported by a powerful offense that scored eight runs, Choi earned the win, his ninth of the season, to move into a tie for the lead in wins.
He also lowered his season ERA to 2.33, taking sole possession of the top spot in that category and wrapping up the first half in spectacular fashion.

Second-place Samsung secured a big win over SSG, extending its winning streak to four games and narrowing the gap with league leader LG to one game.
With the game tied at 0-0 in the second inning, Samsung took control after Kim Ji-chan hit an RBI single, followed by a bases-clearing, three-RBI double by Kim Hyun-jun with two outs.
