Lee Jung-hoo of the San Francisco Giants contributed to his team's victory by hitting his 20th double of the season.
Lee started as the fifth hitter and center fielder in an away game against the Colorado Rockies in the 2026 Major League Baseball (MLB) season, held at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado, today (July 5). He finished the game with one hit, one RBI, and one run in five at-bats.
Following today's game, Lee's season batting average dipped slightly to .317.
In his first at-bat in the top of the first inning with the score tied at 0-0 and one out with the bases loaded, Lee hit a grounder to the second baseman.
Although the lead runner was out at second base, Lee sprinted to first to be called safe, allowing the runner on third to score.
Following Lee's RBI, the San Francisco Giants scored four runs in the first inning alone, fueled by consecutive RBI doubles from Willy Adames and Bryce Eldridge.
After grounding out in the third and fourth innings, Lee recorded his hit in his fourth at-bat in the top of the sixth.
Stepping up to the plate with two outs and a runner on first, he smashed a double toward center field.
While he failed to add an RBI as runner Rafael Devers stopped at third base, he reached the milestone of his 20th double of the season.
In his final at-bat in the top of the eighth, he unfortunately lined out to the pitcher, the newly brought-in Antonio Senzatela.
The San Francisco Giants allowed a comeback attempt after giving up a three-run homer to Colorado's Cole Carrigg, but secured a 6-4 victory thanks to a solid performance by starting pitcher Robbie Ray, who allowed three runs over six innings, and a solo home run by Eldridge in the third inning.
