Japanese Series 'Gas Human' Released, Executive Produced by Yeon Sang-ho

The Japanese series 'Gas Human,' which features director Yeon Sang-ho—known for the film 'Jung_E'—as an executive producer, has been released.

Director Yeon described the project as a challenge and expressed his curiosity about how it will be received.

'Gas Human' follows a detective and a reporter as they track an unknown entity, the Gas Human, responsible for a series of murders.

The story unfolds as the interests of various characters become complexly intertwined around the predicted murder cases.

The series is based on the 1960 Japanese film 'The Human Vapor' (Gas Ningen Dai 1-go). It stars well-known actor Shun Oguri as the detective and Yu Aoi as the reporter.

In a recent interview, executive producer Yeon Sang-ho stated that writing about a country like Japan, where he has never lived, was a source of great fear and a challenge for him.

However, he added that he thought it was better to try than to just be afraid, and that he is curious to see what kind of reaction it will receive locally.
