The combined global sales of South Korea's five major automakers saw a slight increase in June.

As of today (July 1), data on the June global sales of Hyundai Motor, Kia, GM Korea, Renault Korea, and KG Mobility showed a total of 698,800 vehicles sold, a 0.9% increase compared to the same month last year.

Domestic sales reached 121,299 units, up 3.0% from the same month last year.

Cumulative global sales for the first half of the year reached 3,962,921 units, a 1.0% decrease from the same period last year.

Domestic sales for the first half totaled 661,456 units, down 3.6%, while overseas sales reached 3,301,465 units, a 0.5% decline.

It was followed by the Kia Sorento (8,561 units), Seltos (6,685 units), Carnival (6,267 units), and Sportage (6,176 units).

For the first half of the year, the Kia Sorento ranked first in cumulative domestic sales (55,426 units), followed by the Hyundai Grandeur (38,390 units), Kia Sportage (31,263 units), Hyundai Sonata (30,339 units), and Kia Carnival (30,202 units).
