Group CORTIS participated in the World Cup street cheering event held at Gwanghwamun Plaza.
CORTIS was invited to perform a special stage at the "KT 2026 Cheering: All Together. To Victory" event held at Gwanghwamun Plaza in Seoul on the morning of June 12. The event was a street cheering festival co-organized by KT, the Korea Football Association (KFA), and the Red Devils ahead of the South Korean national football team's first group stage match against the Czech Republic for the "2026 FIFA World Cup."
Notably, CORTIS added special meaning to the event by being the only K-pop group to take the stage. The members made their entrance singing the cheering song "To the Victory" alongside the band Trans Fixion, instantly boosting the energetic atmosphere in red uniforms and face paint reminiscent of the Red Devils.
CORTIS pumped up the crowd, shouting, "The sun is hot today, but please show us a passion hotter than the sunlight!" They united the plaza by singing the children's song "All Together" (If You're Happy and You Know It) together. Citizens and tourists watching the performance stopped in their tracks to join the cheering.
On this day, CORTIS performed a total of four songs, including their debut track "What You Want," "GO!," the title track of their second mini-album "REDRED," and the B-side track "YOUNGCREATORCREW." The crowd responded with massive sing-alongs and cheers to their dynamic performance and high-energy stage. The audience also caught everyone's attention by dancing along to the "gullible ears dance," the key choreography of "REDRED."
They also contributed to the World Cup fever off the stage. Through their official social media, CORTIS released a short-form video featuring modified lyrics of "REDRED" that went, "Our team, our team, go red-red, advance to the Round of 16, green green." They also participated in cheering for the national team by appearing in KT's official cheering campaign video.
Meanwhile, CORTIS has been continuing their global rise with promotions for their second mini-album, "GREENGREEN." The B-side track "YOUNGCREATORCREW" has coined the trendy slang "Young-Keu-Keu," gaining attention as a keyword representing the younger generation.
The second mini-album surpassed 2.31 million copies in first-week sales and broke their personal record by peaking at No. 3 on the U.S. Billboard main albums chart, the "Billboard 200." Additionally, they proved their soaring global popularity by completely selling out all seven North American stops of their first solo tour, "2026 CORTIS TOUR."
