[SBS Star] Wanna One Park Ji Hoon's Agency Takes Legal Action Against Malicious Commenters

K-pop boy group Wanna One's member Park Ji Hoon's management agency updated its official statement regarding its legal action against malicious commenters.

On November 29, maroo Entertainment posted an official statement on its various social media platforms.

The agency stated, "Hello, this is maroo Entertainment. First and foremost, we would like to express our thanks to all the fans who have patiently waited and continuously sent us evidence files.

We have been constantly monitoring online activities regarding Park Ji Hoon, in the form of sexual harassment, verbal abuse and malicious rumors.

We have confirmed severe, numerous attempts of defamation of the artist who is still a minor.

Therefore, on October 24, we have submitted obtained files to the Seoul Central District Court on account of defamation, slander caused by the spread of false information.

Our agency will take all the necessary steps to impose strict legal consequences to those who wrote and spread false rumors, with no exceptions.

Also, we will put our utmost efforts to protect Park Ji Hoon through detailed online monitoring and file gathering.

Please submit the gathered evidence files to our agency, and love and support Park Ji Hoon's future endeavors. Thank you so much."

Meanwhile, Wanna One won the 'Best New Male Artist' award at '2017 Mnet Asian Music Awards' in Japan, on November 29.
