[SBS Star] Song-Song Couple Receives Gold Bracelets, But From Who?

Korean star couple Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo received a wedding gift from famous HongKongese filmmaker Wong Karwai. 

On November 11, Taiwan's entertainment news source ETtoday reported, "Song-Song couple received a matching gold bracelet from the film director Wong Karwai. It is filmmaker's gift to represent their friendship." 

Then it also reported, "Song Hye-kyo carefully opened the red box. Song Joong-ki was surprised by the present. Song-Song couple's reaction was very lovely." 

Netizens were also shocked at the released photo as the gift, gold bracelets were super-sized gold bracelets. Song-Song couple was seen wearing the matching bracelets and smiling brightly toward the camera.
But it was told that the gold bracelets were actually from Chinese-born Hong Kong film director John Woo. As John Woo was not able to attend Song-Song couple's wedding, he sent the gift to Wong Karwai to give it to the couple. 

In China, the gold bracelet is very popular traditional wedding gift for newly-married couple to 'wish for their happiness'. 

Recently, actress Choo Ja Hyun who makes appearance on SBS variety show 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2- You Are My Destiny' also received super-sized gold bracelets from her mother-in-law, who is also the mother of Chinese actor Yu Xiaoguang. Meanwhile, many news sources are arguing about the person who gave the gift for Song-Song couple, and said it is a false report. Even Song-Song couple's representative said, "As it is their privacy, it's difficult to verify."

Song Hye-kyo starred in John Woo's movie 'The Crossing' (2014), and Wong Karwai's movie 'The Grandmaster' (2013). 

Song-Song couple tied the knot on October 31 at the Shilla Hotel, Seoul and went to Spain for their honeymoon on November 2.
