Actress/K-pop girl group Girls' Generation member Yoona shared her first time alone traveling experience.

On January 7, Yoona guested on 'Hyell's Club', K-pop girl group Girl's Day member Hyeri's YouTube show.

Greeting Yoona enthusiastically, Hyeri related the backstory of how she asked Yoona to the show.

"After visiting Paris for work, I took a flight to Korea. I later learned that Yoona unnie was also on that plane. I had no idea at first."

"Then, about time to get off the plane, I saw some woman from a distance. Even though she had a hat and mask, anyone could tell she was a celebrity. 'Who is she?', I wondered and soon realized it was you, unnie.", Hyeri said to Yoona.

"I asked her if she could guest here on 'Hyell's Club', and she made it today.", Hyeri cheerfully remarked.
Yoona shared an update on her recent activity, saying she has been busy preparing to return after a year-long hiatus.

When Yoona said it was the longest break she took, Hyeri asked if there was a reason she needed to take some time off.

Yoona replied, "I have worked on seven or eight projects over two to three years before taking the break. After completing one project, I immediately began working on another one, then another one."

"There also were Girls' Generation's 15th-anniversary activities, such as shooting a music video and promoting the album. After pushing through all that in three years, my body was telling me I needed a recharge.", she added.
During their conversation, Hyeri asked Yoona if she enjoyed traveling in her free time.

"Not really, because there aren't many people around me I could travel with. It's hard to find a time when my friends and I are both available.", Yoona replied.

She continued, "I always take a plane with staff. But there was one time I went on my own. I traveled alone for the first time after all these years, and it gave me a lot of thoughts. I realized there are too many things I still don't know yet."

"I drove a car by myself and flew alone during that trip. I also had my first experience with an airport bus. The bus was great, and no one seemed to notice me or anything. Since nobody seemed to care, I felt as if I were being unnecessarily self-conscious.", Yoona said.

"Yeah, people don't care. Everyone is busy using their phones.", Hyeri added.

Yoona resumed, "It made me think, have I been isolating myself for no reason? The experience got me a whole new perspective."
