Today (July 7), the seasonal term Soseo, which marks the beginning of the summer heat, saw heatwave advisories expand once again as sweltering weather intensified.

In many areas, the perceived temperature soared to around 33°C (91°F).

While sporadic showers are expected in the central regions until this evening, a stationary front will affect the entire country from tomorrow through the day after tomorrow.

Rain will begin in the western regions early tomorrow morning and expand to the Yeongnam region by the afternoon.

Over the two-day period, heavy rainfall is expected, with up to 150mm or more in the Seoul metropolitan area, and over 200mm in South Chungcheong and North Jeolla provinces.

As landslide warnings have been issued nationwide at the caution level, please take thorough precautions to prevent damage from localized heavy rain.
