A large fire has broken out on the 8th floor of an apartment building in Wadong-dong, Paju, Gyeonggi Province, and firefighting authorities are currently working to extinguish the blaze.

A report of the fire at the apartment in Paju was received at approximately 10:45 a.m. today (July 7).

It was confirmed that black smoke and flames were seen coming from a window, accompanied by the sound of something exploding.

At approximately 11:10 a.m., the fire department issued a Level 1 response and has deployed 33 pieces of equipment and 71 personnel to suppress the fire.

There have been no reports of casualties confirmed at this time.
