Ok Taec-yeon revealed the behind-the-scenes story of how his actions led to the creation of a new broadcast regulation.

On the episode of SBS's "A Geun Jin" (short for "Ah, But Seriously") that aired on July 6, the members of 2PM visited Suzy's boarding house.

During the broadcast, 2PM shared the story behind how they developed their iconic physiques. The members explained, "We didn't originally work on our bodies. Then we got an advertisement offer, and the advertiser wanted us to show some skin," adding that they started working out for a water park commercial.

At the time, 2PM showed off their "beast-dol" (beastly idol) image in a water park commercial alongside Girls' Generation. The members drew attention by saying, "Back then, chicken breast wasn't sold in pre-packaged forms. We had to buy raw chicken breasts, boil them the day before, marinate them in lemon, put them in the refrigerator, and prepare them all by ourselves."

2PM continued to show off their physiques during their "Heartbeat" promotions. In particular, Ok Taec-yeon earned the nickname "Jjit-Taec-yeon" (Ripping Taec-yeon) for his performance of ripping his shirt open.

Tak Jae-hoon asked what his intention was when he took off his shirt. Ok Taec-yeon drew laughter by saying, "I didn't intend to rip it. The clothes would just rip even when I touched them lightly."

Lee Su-ji asked if he ever faced issues with broadcast censorship for taking off his shirt. Nichkhun surprised everyone by saying, "There were no regulations back then. They were created because of us. Or rather, because of Taec-yeon."

Ok Taec-yeon added, "After I ripped my shirt, a regulation was introduced the following year stating that both sides of the chest could not be exposed." Jang Woo-young then drew attention by sharing a bittersweet story about Rain, who wanted to rip his shirt as well but had to wear chest covers to comply with the new rules for his own shirtless performance.
